Nannette Shaw is a Trawoolway, Tyereelore Elder of Tasmania’s First Peoples and Member of the Bunurong Council and inaugural Member of the Bunurong Elders Circle. She is a traditional kelp worker, basket weaver and shell stringer following the traditions of her ancestors.
Nannette Shaw's work has featured in Kanalaritja: An Unbroken String and Tayenebe through the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, and the National Museum in Canberra, both of which toured Australia for two years. Nannette has gifted kelp work to the Queen Victoria Museum and the University of Tasmania’s Riawunna Centre.
